In terms of size, this bag comes in two sizes, size 23 & 27, which denotes the width of the bag in cm. For Trocadero 27, it fits iphone easily, fits a long wallet, and also fits pochette if needed.
Resale:
Trocadero is a discontinued bag, so you can only find it on a resale market. When you look for this bag on the resale market, watch out for worn strap, sticky interior/exterior pocket, and damaged leather accent corners.
Accessibility:
Trocadero is a very easy bag to access with its zipper top. Also, you can put your daily essentials, such as your phone, wallet, and lipstick into the outside kangaroo pocket for even easier access. With its ample storage space, this bag can be your go-to bag.
Maintenance:
I would say Trocadero is pretty easy to maintain. As long as you watch out for water or physical damages to the leather accents, you are good to go!
Final Thoughts:
If you are looking for something simple yet practical bag that kind of fits to any style, Trocadero is a good choice for you. Its rectangular shape and easy to access zipper top makes it a great practical bag.
Basics- Shape & Size:
In terms of shape, Saumur has a saddle-like shape with very spacious double-sided compartments. Also, it has buckle closures, brown canvas interiors, double-sided compartments, and an adjustable leather strap.
In terms of size, this bag used to come in size 30, 35, & 42. And now it comes in MM or GM. And with double pocket, it fits a lot; this bag has a spacious storage space comparable to Speedy 30.
Accessibility/Durability:
In terms of accessibility, this bag has some difficulties. Its buckle closure makes it hard for people to get in and out of the bag. It takes us around 5 sec to unbuckle and open the bag. But you can just not fully tuck in the leather to save time.
Also, it’s two-sided compartments can make things complicated. You would need to make sure you organize your stuff well to keep all important stuff outward facing compartments.
However, this accessibility issue is compensated by its amazing storage space & two compartments that can help you organize your items.
In terms of maintenance, we would confidently say that Saumur is one of the easiest bags to maintain. This bag is sturdy and strong ready for any tasks ahead. (Just watch out for watermarks just like any other monogram bags).
Price/Resale Tips:
In terms of price, this bag costs $1,600 before taxes at the LV store brand new. If you buy it from the resale market, its resale price will range from low $500 to mid-$700 depending on its condition.
If you are looking to buy Saumur in resale market, watch out for cracks in the strap, darkened closure strap, and musky smell from the interior canvas.
Summary of Saumur:
I personally think Saumur is a super spacious & classic travel/daily bag if you are okay with buckle opening.
Basics:
Drouot’s resale price ranges from the high $400 to the low $700 depending on its condition.
In terms of shape, Drouot features a cylinder-like, bucket shape that is versatile and will fit into almost any style.
Also, it has a zipper top, a brown interior pocket, a solid bottom, and a long adjustable leather crossbody strap.
In terms of size, this bag comes in one size, and it can be a tad bit small if you plan to carry lots of things.
You can fit a cell phone. But you might have a hard time fitting in a long wallet because it gets stuck at the zipper top.
But you can always replace your long wallet with a cardholder or a compact wallet when using Drouot.
One more thing to note is that Drouot is a discontinued bag, so you can only find it in a resale market. When you look for this bag in the resale market, watch out for a worn strap, a sticky interior pocket, and a stained leather bottom.
In terms of accessibility, Drouot is a very easy bag to get in and out with its zipper top. But since its size run a bit small, it will require some organization on your part, such as using the compact wallet, to best utilize the bag.
Also, with its adjustable strap, Drouot can be worn by people in all heights.
Now, in terms of maintenance, we would rank Drouot as the highest maintenance bag out of the three bags we are recommending. This is mainly due to its leather bottom that is prone to water damage and due to its small size, people tend to stuff the bag with too many items and eventually damage it.
But with its amazing versatility & unique one of a kind shapes, your extra care for the bag will be so so so worth it!
Final Thoughts:
If you are looking for unique yet classic crossbody with easy accessibility, Drouot is perfect for you! However, if you tend to carry a lot of things, you should pass on this bag.
"Should I get Neverfull MM or GM?"
Here is a blog post to help you guide deciding best Neverfull size for you.
Basic:
So, here are the basics.
In terms of size, Neverfull MM is 12.6 inches wide, 11.4 inches tall, and 6.7 inches deep.
Neverfull GM is 15.7 inches side, 12.8 inches tall, and 7.9 inches deep.
So, Neverfull GM is 3.1 inches wider, 1.4 inches taller, and 1.2 inches deeper than Neverfull MM
In terms of price, Neverfull MM retails mid 1,300 while Neverfull GM retails around low $1,400. And their price differences are around $80, which is very small. (Price may change over time)
In terms of size, both bags fit a lot!
However, as we all know, Neverfull GM will fit more.
MM fits daily essential; GM has extra spaces, you can put in your 1-3 days’ worth of clothes for travel, your camera, and any extra items.
Comparison Factors:
Now that we went over basics, let’s take a look at factors that you should consider before deciding on MM or GM.
Five factors to consider are lifestyle, shape preference, your physique, purchase channel and resale value.
In terms of lifestyle, Neverfull MM, is best suited for everyday use.
With its ample storage space and light yet sturdy structure, Neverfull MM is a perfect shoulder tote for daily use.
Also, MM works well as a diaper bag.
Lots of people tend to buy Neverfull GM as a diaper bag.
However, after their purchases, many of them realize that Neverfull GM is simply too bulky to go hands-free to hold your kid’s hands or deal with hectic problems around them.
So, I personally recommend more manageable Neverfull MM as a diaper bag.
Now, I personally recommend Neverfull GM if you plan to use the bag for travel, gym, or school.
As you know, Neverfull GM fits a lot. Literally, your physical strength is the limit of how much you can fit in this bag.
As a result, Neverfull GM is perfect for occasions that require you to bring more than your daily essentials.
In terms of shape, both Neverfull MM & GM have the same shape.
However, Neverfull GM does have a bit more versatility when it comes to its shape.
You can significantly lower the width of the bag by using the side strap.
And when you compare folded Neverfull GM with MM, there is not much size difference!
If you like this folded shape, Neverfull GM might be for you.
In terms of physique, it has been said that Neverfull MM looks great for people under 5’ 8’’ and Neverfull GM looks great on people over 5’ 8’’
However, for me, height is the least important factor. I think both Neverfulls work well for any height. Much more important factor is your shoulder health.
Neverfull GM fits a lot, and it can get heavy. So, if you have shoulder problems, you should avoid GM and get MM.
In terms of a purchase channel, if you are planning to purchase Neverfull from a resale market, we advise you to get Neverfull MM, since there are more out there.
Also, Neverfull MM is usually priced more competitively compared to GM.
If you are looking to get GM in the resale market, we advise you to be patient and take your time since there might be fewer choices. And obviously, if you are looking to buy Neverfulls new, MM & GM, are both great options!
In terms of resale value, Neverfull MM & GM do behave differently on the resale market.
If you are looking to resell your bag quickly, we recommend getting Neverfull MM.
In our opinion, there are simply more demands on the resale market for Neverfull MM.
So, usually, Neverfull MM will resell faster than GM.
However, if you are looking to resell your bag at a higher value, we recommend Neverfull GM.
Since Neverfull GM is rare on the resale market, GM’s value tends to hold up better than MM. GM on average holds up to 80% of its value while MM holds up to 65% of its value.
Both MM & GM are rock stars in retaining their values, but Neverfull GM does have a slight upper hand when it comes to the resale price.
